Lakeshore Repairs Now Complete

L&L has completed their repairs this week and we are pleased with the work done in front of the Magee’s and Kelsay’s, as well as between the Little’s and Lowell’s. The Miller’s had some work done in front of their property, as well. This completes the major repairs to Lakeshore. Thank you for your patience.

Lakeshore Repairs Coming Soon

2015-03-09__Idell_LakeshoreDrainageFor those of you who called yesterday and others who are curious, Petty Landscaping is working on the Idell’s drainage to repair the rock wall and re-channel the drainage swale along Lakeshore. Work should be completed today.
LinksCloggedCulvertIn the next few weeks (depending on continued dry weather) L&L Asphalt should be able to complete the work on Lakeshore which will repair the damage done by heavy rains. They will unclog the culvert between the Links and the Idells (18981 and 18948 Lakeshore) in front of the Kelsays (19355 ), the Magees (19043) and the failing valley gutter between the Lowells and Littles (19053 and 19065) where L&L will do additional work for the homeowners replacing the wooden flume with a concrete version with curbed sides. For more detail on the work approved, 2016_L&L-Asphalt_Estimates.Lowell-Little_WoodenFlumeIf you would like additional work done (on your driveway, for instance), now would be a good time to contact David Lockridge at L&L (903.561.2887).

Perfect Weather for the Spring Picnic

After having to cancel our 2015 Fall Festival due to rain, it was a big relief to see the day dawn bright and clear for our egg hunt and spring picnic. Thanks to Sarah Devendorf for ramrodding a great day for children and parents alike.

See You at The Lakes

2015-11-13_Lake#3-PS1_01I rarely have time to take an entire day off, but when I have only an hour or two and the weather is nice, I head for one of our Country Place lakes. All four are stocked with Florida largemouth bass, coppernose bluegill, and channel cat. I usually catch something, but even when I don’t, it’s just great to get out. Sometimes I run across a neighbor and we visit. Sometimes I run across a trespasser and have to let them know that only CPCA members with paid-up dues are allowed on these waters. But most often it’s just me, the water, the woods, and these lovely skies. If you’re a member, please use our lakes…we spend a lot of association money and time caring for them so you can.2015-11-13_CountryPlcCatch_015
