In an effort to keep residents informed, please note the following:
The Board met with Cherokee County and Thedford Construction representatives on Wednesday morning (1-21) to review the upcoming reconductor project in Country Place. CCECA Phase II project by definition will include homes on Oakmeadow Circle, JoBar Drive, Hidden Lake Drive, a few homes on Copper Oaks and the northeast portion of Great Oak Circle. All of these areas are on what CCECA terms as their south feed. This Phase II work will be separated into five segments. The first segment of construction will be on Oak Meadow Circle and a short portion of Copper Oaks. The second segment will be on JoBar Drive and the remaining three segments will be Hidden Lake Drive, Meadowood Lane and again a few homes on Copper Oaks and the northeast area of Great Oak Circle. Determination will be made at a later date as to which of these three segments will be scheduled as Nos. 3, 4, and 5. Dependent on weather and level of boring difficulty, etc., Oak Meadow Circle construction time frame is estimated to be between three to five weeks. The JoBar Drive segment time frame should be something slightly shorter.
Every effort will be made to alert residents the night prior to any planned power outage. This will done by e-mail and posting on the Country Place website. Unfortunately, in an emergency situation, etc., this will not always be possible. It should be noted that if everything works as planned power outages will be potentially interrupted a minimum of two to three times per segment of work.
In the redesign of the reconductor project there will be a net reduction of the above ground enclosures that are currently in place. Equipment will be moving in this week with actual construction work starting on Monday, January 26.
Again, your patience and understanding is requested. Please channel your concerns to the Board and we in turn will bring those concerns to the attention of the project manager.
