CPCA Lakes & Parks Update

Here are the spring projects planned for our lakes and parks:
After the Storm
The good news is we got 1.6” of rain. The bad news is there are trees and limbs down all over Country Place. I had a 7:30 a.m. doctor’s appointment at the Christus on Broadway and all the traffic lights were out. Traffic was backed up for a mile. Barely made it on time and […]
CPCA Directories for 2023-24
The new CPCA directories are in and we’ll be delivering them over the next few days. Look for them on your front porch or mailbox (I delivered them to Oakmeadow and Jo Bar yesterday). I’m still making changes to the online version so if you have updated phones or emails, please message me.
Kids’ Swim Party
Thanks to the Ray’s, Charles and Valencia, for hosting a gaggle of Country Place children at their new home and pool on Saturday. It was great to see the neighborhood children get together for a planned play date.
Deer Rescue Attempt
Over the past 16 years, Andrea and I have had the pleasure of helping many folks move to Country Place (and others leave it). Some of these neighbors have served on the board, while others have contributed in other ways. Back in September of 2015, not long after we helped Gary & Melissa Strickland move […]
Jerry Jones: Beaver or Nutrea Damaging Lake #3 Dam
Walked Lake 3 today to check possible beaver damage. Mary Shaffer who walks the lake daily told me there was a hole near the top of the dam almost directly across from the feeder that she had placed a limb in so that no one would step in it. I suspected beaver damage since we […]
Update on The Front Entry
A number of residents have asked about the status of repairs to the front entry and we wanted to bring you up-to-date. As reported here back on May 25th a young driver over-shot the entrance on Big Timber and ran into the stone wall and sign on the west side of the road. Subsequently Ken […]
Jerry Jones Lakes & Parks Report
The lakes are doing OK as far as the fish and fishing are concerned. I see more people fishing now than in the past, especially young fisherpeople. That is what the program is all about. Thanks to Wayne Tiller, Lake 4 is being well attended which brings me to the point of […]
Welcome to The Little’s
Bobby and I would like to welcome our friends Brent and Melissa Little to the neighborhood. They just purchased the Andros home on Lakeshore. They’ve been painting and are planning to start moving in this weekend. The house looks great and they are even considering getting some cows! Stephanie Henderson
Country Place Outage – Thursday
Mr. Terrell, Tomorrow morning starting at 8 AM, the whole west feed will experience a short outage. Once the power is restored, member from Great Oak Circle to the south end of Copper Oaks (on Copper Oaks) will experience outages throughout the day while new conductor is being installed. Please pass on the info. Thanks, […]
Kids’ Summer Activities in Country Place
Our daughters Mary and Anna are having the neighborhood Kids Camp at our house again this year. This will be the third year. The girls are handing out flyers to most of the houses. The dates are July 22-24 for ages 5 to 12. The cost is $30.00. I am also having craft classes at […]
Country Place Sign Is Damaged
On Monday, May 25th, two teenagers in a pickup missed the turn at Big Timber and ran into the Country Place entry wall and sign. Lots of sharp turns in Country Place, and they start right at the entry…be careful out there! Our thanks to Raymond & Karen Mills for the photos taken just after […]
